To take action, please:

(1) Click here to send a message to your Assemblymember to ask him or her to support AB 392.

(2) Call your Assemblymember using ACLU-NC’s phone number (855)644-2258.  This phone number will route you to your Assemblymember’s office based on the zip code that you enter.  It will also tell you what to say.

(3) If you are a leader of an organization, please submit a letter of support to the Assembly Public Safety Committee, preferably before April 4, 2019. Click here for the template of a sample letter as well as instructions on how to submit your letter.

(4) SB 230 is a Police-Lobby bill that competes with and undermines AB 392.  If you are a leader of an organization, please submit a letter of opposition against SB 230 to the Senate Public Safety Committee.  Click here for the template of a sample letter as well as instructions on how to submit your letter .
