Take Action! Support SB 54 to prevent avoidable deportations in California

SB 54, the California Values Act, was introduced on Dec 5, 2016 and formally announced on Dec 7, 2016 by Senate President Pro Tempore de Leon. This important bill aims to get state and local law enforcement out of the deportation business. Now more than ever, we need our state to take bold actions to protect all in our community against the Deportation Machine.  SB 54 passed on the Assembly floor on Sep 15 with a 51-to-26 vote. Concurrence vote took place in the Senate on Sep 16 with a 27-to-11 vote.  The bill is ordered to engrossing and enrolling.
