ACLU of California Virtual Lobby Days
Thanks to your activism over the last few months, the ACLU and our partner organizations were able to pass legislation that created measures on the November ballot that could restore voting rights to nearly 50,000 Californians on parole and expand access to public higher education for students of color.
But our work is not done yet! We are mobilizing to ensure important legislation to hold abusive police accountable, to fund community-based alternatives to policing, and to expand job-protected paid leave for frontline workers. This year, we’re going virtual for our annual lobby day. Join us to lobby your lawmakers and make your voice heard! Click here to register. Here are the details:
Kick Off Event: Monday, August 10, 5pm – 7pm
Join the ACLU of California to learn about the bills you will be lobbying on, how to lobby virtually and meet with team members.
Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12
You will be invited to half-hour meetings on these days to meet with your legislator's office to lobby on the bills.
Registration must be done on an individual basis so that we have accurate information to facilitate everyone’s participation. Please contact Claire Machado at [email protected] if you have other questions about the conference. If you have language or disability accommodation requests, please contact Claire by August 3.
