ACLU-NorCal 2025 Legislative Kickoff

This event is organized by the ACLU of Northern California.

On January 21, the ACLU will launch our California Firewall for Freedom Campaign.  Join us on Tuesday, January 28 at 5:30pm for a virtual event to learn more and prepare to take action.

During the first Trump administration, California successfully pushed back against many of the extremist policies issued by the federal government.  However, a second Trump administration threatens to roll back many of the civil rights and civil liberties at the core of our mission. We need to ensure that California is taking concrete steps to defend vulnerable communities in our state and advance a pro-civil rights and civil liberties agenda that promotes equity for every resident of our state.

Join us to hear more about our legislative advocacy priorities, the biggest challenges that we anticipate this year, and our proposed solutions. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how we can partner to ensure a more resilient and more just future for all California communities.
