Santa Clara Valley chapter community event

Dear Friends:

The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the ACLU of Northern California will be holding a community meeting on April 24, 2019 in the San Jose City Hall to advocate for two high priority bills.  One of them is AB 392, the California Act to Save Lives, which will update the legal standard for deadly use of force by law enforcement.  The other bill is ACA 6, which is about enfranchisement of people on parole.  Doors open at 6:30pm.  The program begins at 7:00pm.  Please join us to learn more about these two bills and be ready to take action during the meeting!  Action includes writing and calling your legislators and writing postcards.  If you have a cell phone, please bring it with you.
